For most of the year, I spend my time teaching academic writing and research basics to undergraduates at the University of California San Diego. I've had to find a way to calm the "mind chatter" during my summers off, one that doesn't involve the written word.
So I've taken a new direction: painting. Here in Fallbrook, we're surrounded by a crazy jungle of native and exotic vegetation. The contrast in colors and textures is mind-blowing. It's a great place for a novice artist to give it a try.
Here are a few of my creations. Enjoy!
